1 day left. :)

My experience was that any stresses I had from work went away immediately after quitting. It was amazing how something that was so encompassing for 12+ years suddenly had zero weight.

A job opportunity? I'd sleep on that option for a while. Would they provide any sort of funding for education? Many jobs do. If not, would they be flexible on occasions when a class is only offered during the day?

I like the idea of you going back to school. The more education you have the more welcoming foreign countries will be. That's actually one of my motivating factors to apply for grad school.

Actually, it takes 30 days. Also, they have the right to "secure their interest" by leaning your valuables. Also, Apartments have an on-line network they use, sort of like a credit report, which they can indicate if you skipped out on your lease, left damages, or had to be evicted. It can affect my ability to rent another apartment in Colorado (or wherever I end up).

Plus, this Bitch is vindictive. They were messing with my neighbor cause they wanted her to leave. So she was still within her PAID month, but she started to move out. She moved most of her stuff but still had a few minor things left, and she wanted to clean and leave it nice so they couldn't say she owed and keep her security deposit. They saw the U-haul truck drive off, so they went and changed her locks on the apartment and her mailbox, returned her mail "Return to Sender not at this address" and then when she went to go get her mail; mind you this is like the 18th and she was paid till the 31st; they called the police and had them issue a "Criminal Trespass Warning."

They're chicken shit, and I can't risk that they'll come to "inspect" the apartment and one of my dogs will "run out the door and disappear." No, I'll be out before the end of the month. Where Exactly I don't know yet.

Just read both posts. That's insane. :(

I'm pretty sure it takes over 60 days to evict someone in TX. You could use that as a bargaining chip. Maybe email the manager (and her manager, as I'm assuming the complex is managed by some significantly sized management company) and explain that you're not going to sign a lease but you plan on staying for another two months and hope they would be willing to accommodate you so that things "don't turn in to a legal matter".

Let them call your bluff before you let them force your hand.

+3 geek points to you sir. :)

I started reading his first book, The Four Hour Workweek. By the end of the first chapter (or maybe the second?) I realized he was full of shit and never finished reading it. Hopefully TFHB works out.

And why do you say I hate pages? Pages in and of themselves are perfectly fine. It's all about how you use them.
